Food Stand
In the area of food, the Ongi Etorri club was assisted by sukaldaris from San Nicolas who were in charge of providing typical dishes. The menu included txistorra and chorizo in cider and rice with txipirones. All of the proposals were very well received by the numerous diners.
Cultural Stand
The cultural stand was at the Casona de Turismo, in the oldest part of town. There five banners were displayed with the history of the Basque Navy, as well as works of art by local artist of Basque origin, Edgardo “Yayo” Altolaguirre. They also created a “Euskera Txoko” along with information about the language. Club members also provided information on Basque surnames, rural sports, and typical dress among other topics. The display was visited by many locals and tourists as well.
