Iruña-Pamplona. It is not yet known how the people of Pamplona will face this year's Sanfermin, after the cancellation of the traditional celebration due to the pandemic. Surely, they will find virtual and imaginative ways to respect the rules without standing idly by. In the meantime, time is running out and last Saturday was June 6, the last day of ladder leading to July 7. In full San Fermin spirit, the Barañain Abesbatza Choir along with the "La Pamplonesa" band delight us with a video ...
…with a classic, the "Alegría Sanferminera" (Joy of San Fermin) by Maestro Turrillas that this year will be as strong as ever. With the memory of last year’s celebration, we didn’t want this last rung of the ladder to San Fermin go unnoticed. People in Pamplona have prepared this video, not without nostalgia, showing their determination to live the Sanfermines, even in a different way. At the beginning of the video, a reflection, in Basque and Spanish, followed from minute 1 '10 by the waltz “Alegría Sanferminera.”
This is a tribute as well as a way to hang on to the spirit of the festivities, that continue here, even if each one has to celebrate from home. Let’s dance!
