Laprida, Argentina. Every gesture is welcomed at this time and that it looks like the Argentine publishers Lauburu and the Arturo Campion Basque Studies Center in Laprida understand it. This is why they have released the last issue of the “Guregandik” magazine online (see Basque Studies), including the option of downloading articles in pdf. The 15th edition of Guregandik includes 14 articles by Basque and Argentine writers on various Basque topics.
Lauburu Publishers also announced that they are publishing a title on this side of the ocean Recoja sus cosas (Collect Your Things) by Ander Zurimendi, about the social re-adaptation of five ETA prisoners to whom the Parot Doctrine was applied. The edition includes prologues by Argentine anthropologist, Julieta Gaztañaga and polititian Arnaldo Otegi, the latter who was part of the original publication.
The publishing initiative coordinated by Nicolas Chaves is also preparing two works that will be part of its “Hirusta Bilduma” collection: Tu olvido es peor que la muerte, (Your Forgetfulness is Worse thatn Death) by Nicaraguan Basque poet Ernesto Castillo Salaverry, who died in combat in 1979 during the Sandinista Revolution; and a story book El final de los viajes siempre está en algún lado, (The End of travel is Always Somewhere) by Basque-Argentine Sergio Recarte.
