Parana, Argentina. They did so in the best way they know how, broadcasting, working hard and going on the air for one more week to contribute its grain of sand to the diffusion of the Basque legacy from the Diaspora, in this case from Entre Rios, Argentina, to the rest of the world. Commentated by Federico Borras Alcain, as usual the Presencia Vasca commemorated Aberri Eguna, Day of the Basque Homeland last Sunday, and did so by talking to Iñaki Anasagasti and Jasone Agirre (in the Basque Country) and Mikel Ezkerro and Verónica Zulaica (in Argentina).
Founded in Paraná, Entre Rios by Raúl Alcain, in 1989, it recently celebrated its 32nd anniversary on March 31st, of uninterrupted broadcasts, maintaining itself all these years based on tenacity, the committed effort and good work of those who have made it possible on both sides of the microphone and studio glass. In a conversation with EuskalKultura.eus Federico Borras pointed out that with the advent of COVID-19, this last year was a challenge that the Presencia Vasca responded to vigorously, adapting to the new situation and reinforcing its commitment to its listeners who follow the program in Argentina, the Basque Country and around the world on internet and its social media. A worthy effort kept alive by the tireless commitment of volunteers who have kept it going now for more than three decades.
Zorionak eta aurrera, Presencia Vasca!
