The Basque Center Itxaropen of Saladillo, in the Argentinean province of Buenos Aires, has made its Annual Regular Assembly and hold elections for the positions of its Board of Directors which expired this year, including vice president, treasurer, and some other. Thus, president Nora Idoeta will be acompanied this next year on the Board by Sergio Arteta, vice president; Hector Altamira, secretary; Silvina Sara Rondeau, deputy secretary; Susana Labere, treasurer; and Horacio Echeverría, deputy treasure.
Saladillo, Argentina. This year is proving downright rich in the history of Itxaropen and the local Basque community, since the fact of the 60th anniversary of the Basque association has joined the opening this past July 31 of its new headquarters. The new building has been the result of a continuous step-by-step work of the Basques andf the people of Saladillo for more tan a decade. In this context, and with the satisfaction of a well done job, the Annual Meeting of the center was held on August 30. As a result, the new Board of Directors is composed as follows:
