Bolívar, Argentina. The Navarrese community in the city of Bolivar in the province of Buenos Aires celebrated in April its 65th birthday, as it was founded on 1954, January 31. The event included a big dinner with traditional dances performed by the club’s dancers. In fact the dance workshop, directed by Luisina Teruel, is one of the club’s main activities and is completely free and the club especially encourages local youth to join in.
The Navarrese Club provides a large variety of workshops that includes dance, weaving, gymnastics for adults and choir. To participate in these activities, you must be a member of the club and have paid the fee that varies by activity.
The club will hold its General Assembly this Thursday, May 30th at 7pm. There a summary of the finances will be provided and elections for the board of directors will be held. The club is only anticipating the presentation of one list of nominees led by the current president, Miguel Lasa.
It's already the end of May and all members of the club are anxiously awaiting the celebration of San Fermin on July 6th with the program currently being prepared.
