The Paris Basque club will have a very animated weekend, with a Basque Festival that they celebrate annually with the associations that make up the entity.  There will be workshops for children, carnival parade, txaranga and popular food.  In addition, on March 22, the Basque club experienced a very exciting night with the Rubgy tournament match of Six Nations between France and England that filled the clubhouse.

Paris, France.   The Paris Euskal Etxea will celebrate its annual festival this weekend, where various associations and groups that make up the club will provide a show of their activities.  The day will begin with children’s activities: “Stories and Legends,” animated by the carnival giants that represent mythical characters.  Afterwards, the club’s associations will provide a sample of their activities that will be followed by dinner with entertainment provided by the Festayre Txaranga.

On Sunday, the festival will continue with mass, an aperitif with entertainment provided and a meal.

Rugby Night

In other news, on March 22, the Euskal Etxea celebrated a Rugby Night, to watch the match between France and England at the Tournament of Six Nations.  Rugby is the most followed sport in France and the Euskal Etxea that is very close to the stadium was full to the rafters.

The Basque club prepared a full program to entertain those presents: the festivities began at 8 with a concert of music from Brittany by the Bagad Pariz band.  Afterwards the match was shown, and after the game concluded, at around 11pm, Bagad Pariz played again.

The night was long, and the Txaranga Peña Pamplonica took over for the group from Brittany to end the night dancing until dawn to the music of DJ Nesho.  As Maitane Larronde, member of the club, told EuskalKultura.com, “The club was filled to the rafters, it was a very successful night.  There were a lot of people watching the match and afterwards, even more because the clubhouse is very close to the stadium!”
