News of celebrations regarding the Day of the Basque Homeland continue to come even though the official celebration took place on April 1st. Nevertheless, many Basque clubs pushed their Aberri Eguna celebrations back days, and even weeks. In fact there are still some to take place. Without going further Basque clubs like that in Villa Maria, and Jose C. Paz will celebrate Aberri Eguna this coming week.
Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Day of the Basque Homeland is a very special celebration at many Basque clubs in the Basque Diaspora and its celebrations are very well attended. This weekend in Argentina the Euzko Etxea in Villa Maria and the Toki Eder Basque Club in Jose C. Paz, will gather members and friends to share this significant day with them around a table with great food and with Basque dance and singing. This Saturday, the 28th, Euzko Etxea will begin with a visit to the Tree of Gernika, commemorating also the 81st anniversary of the Bombing, followed by mass and dinner. The festivities will begin at 6pm at the Centennial Park. On Sunday, the 29th, the event in Jose C. Paz, will take place at Toki Eder where lunch will begin with lunch.
