A video made in Boise competes in the Bertsomovieda contest; the deadline to vote is Friday

Its title is “Euskara, muga guziten gainetik elkartzaen gaituen zubia” (Euskera the bridge that unites us beyond all borders) and tells the story of the Basque community in Boise in bertsos, with images of Jaialdi and the Basque Block. The video is part of the Bertsomovieda contest, organized in the Basque Country by the Arrano Kultur Elkartea in Beasain, and the video that gets the most votes will be named the winner. The deadline to vote is this Friday.
Boise, ID. The video “Euskara, muga guztien gainetik elkartzen gaituen zubia,” that is competing in the Bertsomovieda contest, was created by Geneva Ayarra in Boise and Todor Azurza from Donostia. Geneva’s grandparents were Basque, from Urepele (Lower Navarre) and from Eaurta-Jaurrieta (Navarre) while Todor was born in Donostia, and has lived in Paris, but who now is in Boise.
They created this video together that tells the story of a part of the history and the identity of the Basque community in Boise, in Basque and in bertsos. The video can be see online and its authors are asking that you vote for it in the “Bertsomovieda” contest. Voting will close this Friday. You can see the video here.
