We all know that there is no accounting for taste and that the rankings of good restaurants and the lists of the best chefs include valuations for all tastes. However, there must be something with Basque cooking and its chefs when all lists coincide in placing them high on the list in regards to world gastronomy. A new list published yesterday, places Azurmendi by Eneko Atxa as the best restaurant in Europe. There are seven Basque restaurants that figure on this list of the “top 100” on the old continent.
