Donostia-San Sebastián. The travel agency Bask in Motion is comprised of three young Basque entrepreneurs that know their homeland well and want to host any Basque clubs, or Basques in the Diaspora that would like to travel to Euskal Herria and aren’t sure how to do it, or where to begin.
They ensure to combine in their proposal their characteristic of being born right there and the knowledge they have of the country with seriousness as a company and "being people who love to show and proudly share the best of our culture, our locations, and our ways, products and customs;” adding to that service tailored to the necessities of each Basque club, group or individual. "We are professionals, but we show our home, our own culture and welcome each one warmly, from the best of each of us, putting into practice our knowledge, our contacts and an almost family experience, because we welcome you as being our ‘American cousins’ showing you the best Basque hospitality ever, what we learned at home, from our parents and grandparents.”
Juanmari, Esther and Ander will be in various places in Argentina over the next two weeks. They have confirmed some visits to some Basque clubs in the city and province of Buenos Aires and possibly in Santa Fe, and will also be present at Semana Nacional Vasca in Necochea. The goal of their trip is to introduce themselves and present their offerings, that they define as “very affordable,” “that is tailored to the wishes and interests of the different people and Basque club,” given that “our biggest interest is easy: welcome you as good hosts so that our clients become our friends, and leave very satisfied and hoping to use our services again.’
Bask in Motion already has experience with two groups of Basque-Argentine travelers who visited the Basque Country thanks to them and who were “really satisfied” with their respective trips. This was the case of the Itxaropen Basque Club in Saladillo that visited the Basque Country last May, to be welcomed with an Aurresku and who experienced a complete program “that touched us with the care and knowledge of what was presented," te said. "The three members of Bask in Motion made us feel at home, and responded to and surpassed our expectations". A very similar experience was had in October with another group this time from the Juan de Garay Basque Argentinian Foundation. The result was “fabulous,” and was given the grade of “super satisfied,” in the words of the visitors themselves.
The three representatives from Bask in Motion will be at Semana Vasca over the coming days, and will also meet this Tuesday with the directors of the Laurak Bat Basque Club in Buenos Aires, with a following meeting at the Centro Navarro as well as visit with the Juan de Garay Foundation to finally dine at the French Basque Club’s Restaurant.
This Wednesday they will do a presentation at 9:30pm that is open to the public at Euskaltzaleak (Bernardo de Irigoyen 826, City of Buenos Aires), that includes an Idiazabal Cheese tasting. From there they will travel to Necochea where they will do more presentations and will be available to Basque clubs and interested people. “Ask for us in Necochea and we will be happy to speak with you.”
On Monday, November 14 at 7pm they will be at the Gure Txokoa Basque Club in Azul, with a presentation followed by a cheese tasting. Members from the Olavarria Basque Club are also expected to attend.
On Tuesday, November 15, they will visit Saladillo, and will be at a reception with the local mayor and will later have dinner at Itxaropen.
