Montevideo, Uruguay. Although we are in the middle of summer, Basque clubs in Uruguay have announced the beginning of the new course activities, in this case with the first weekly mus gathering of the year. This traditional card game is an important activity at the centennial Basque club that hosted last year’s MercoMus Tournament with the participation of Argentina, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay.
To continue promoting the activity, members of Euskaro organize a Mus day every Wednesday for those who know how to play, as well as for those who would like to learn, or improve their game. As Lucia Goñi told EuskalKultura.com, “the event has taken place since last year with much success and this Wednesday, February 20th, we had our first meeting of 2019, with a large contingent of youth participating.”
The Euskaro Basque Club will begin its other proposals soon, like Basque classes, dance class, and a program of talks and film screenings, to mention a few.
