Last Sunday, February 15, the Euskal Etxea in Paris joined in the local carnival celebrations, and how! The club’s procession toured the streets of the city led by a gigantic dragon, contributing to the atmosphere in the streets of Saint Ouen, the district where the club is located. Creating the huge dragon took several weeks of hard work, but as seen here, it was a complete success.
Paris, France. The Paris Basque club again took to the streets during carnival, and once again succeeded in adding a special colorful and joyful touch to the parade. The audience gathered to see the parade and was especially surprised by the giant dragon that led the club’s entry.
The dragon or Herensuge, was the result of a creative workshop that the club had been working on for several weeks. Last year they created lamina and Basajaun that also caught the attention of the people on the street, and this year they again decided to do something original. The workshop participants have shared the entire creative process on its Facebook page with several photos.
