A Basque company, CodeSyntax, creates Tribual, a free game for cell phones with 130,000 questions

Tribual is a game of “addictive” questions, according to developers from the Basque Company from Eibar, CodeSyntax, who designed the game.  The first version has been out for some time online as a test, and its users have played more than 300,000 games.  The game includes 130,000 questions and two versions: the improved in Basque, English and Spanish which is available for Android; and the first version for iOS, available in Basque.

Donostia-San Sebastian.  The company CodeSyntax has launches a second version of its game Tribual, better than the first which had been tested for months online.  During this time, some 2,000 users have downloaded the game and have played nearly 300,000 games; data given by the developers which make them think the game is “addictive.”

“Tribual, the Basque tribes's game” is very simple. The key is to respond to groups of five questions as quickly as possible.  Two players compete to answer the same five questions, and whoever answers first wins.  The winner gets points which allow them to increase their general classification.

The game is free and includes 130,000 questions in all, classified by theme: culture, math, logical series, geography, film, music, sports, nature…

In addition, players can opt to paly alone in one of the three thematic tribes: math, geography, and Basque Literature developed with the help of Susa-Armiarma.
