The Natural Basque Cider from Argentina Txapela came on the market in March of this year and since then has installed itself into restaurants and euskal etxeas. The cider has accompanied birthdays, meetings, Basque festivals and has been the star of cider nights and pintxos at Basque restaurants throughout the community, as well as contributing to local gastronomy.

The Madrid Euskal Etxea let us know about the recent recognition that member Ana Adarraga Elizaran received from the Royal Spanish Gastronomic Society awarding her the Marques de Parabere Prize for “the best publishing initiative linked to gastronomy.” Forty six year ago, Ana born in Hernani, opened the opened the Aliana Bookstore in Madrid, and 27 years ago she specialized in gastronomic issues.
