The 36th edition of the Foreign Communities Gathering in Rosario will be held November 6-8, and November 13-15th, as a hybrid proposal, that is with some events taking place in person while others will be virtual. The Centro Navarro, one of the original founders of this annual gathering, will participate in both.

The local Basque club is working of the “Euskal Sustraiak: In Search of Basque Roots” project with two main goals. The first is to create a historic archive with information about Basque immigrants that came from any one of the seven provinces in the Basque Country to Macachin or the surrounding rural area (Alpachiri, Rolón, Anchorena, Miguel Riglos and Doblas).

The English translation of Versos que el viento arrastra (Poems the Wind Blew in), by poet Karmelo C. Iribarren from Donostia, received the prestigious Highly Commended award, as well as being a finalist in the CLiPPA, Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Awards, in the United Kingdom, according to the Etxepare Basque Institute. The original version in Spanish was published in 2010.
