Deadline to sign up for the Basque instructor-training course to teach at universities or other centers of higher education abroad is October 1st. The course is organized by the Etxepare Basque institute along with the Vice-Provost of Euskara and Continuing Training at the University of the Basque Country and will take place in Vitoria-Gasteiz October 4-November 30 according to the Etxepare Basque Institute.

On the Basque community’s initiative, along with the city government, members and friends of the Ibai Txori Basque Club planted a sapling of the Tree of Gernika in Ramirez Plaza. The ceremony took place as part of the Day of the Diaspora festivities and was attended by the local mayor, Jose Lauritto. The sapling was donated by the Zazpirak Bat Basque Club in Rosario according to club sources.
