Bariloche, Argentina. Bariloche was the site of last weekend’s reflection workshop by FEVA as well as the VI meeting of Patagonian Basque clubs. Thirty-five representatives from Basque clubs in Bariloche, Neuquén (Baskos de la Confluencia and Comahue Euskal Etxea), Comodoro Rivadavia, Mendoza, Posadas, Puerto Madryn, Río Colorado, San Martín de los Andes, Viedma and Patagones, and Villa María participated in another edition of the Workshop organized by FEVA to promote reflection about Basque clubs. Under the coordination of psychologist, Ana Idigoras, member of FEVA’s board of directors, and of Euskaldunak Denak Bat Basque Club in Arrecifes, participants exchanged worries and experiences with Federation board members, led by its president, Javier Ederra, who was accompanied by vice-presidents Juan José Olasagastia and Arantxa Anitua. FEVA officials were also invited, as part of the weekend, to attend the 6th Meeting of Patagonian Basque Clubs called by Basque clubs in the region. After a welcome by Stella Larraburu, president of the Bariloche hosting club, the agenda included topics such as integration of the clubs in their communities, club regulations as well as communication and grants, among others. Sara Pagola, delegate of Euskadi in Argentina-Mercosur was also part of the event, along with delegation technician, Mariana Satostegui, who also referred to programs regarding management provided by the Basque Government. After the meetings there was time for a toast and some improvised dancing.
