This Saturday NABO will hold its Annual Convention in Chino, California, hosted by the Southern California Basque Club and attended by delegates from all the Basque clubs. Chino, USA. The 2016 NABO Convention will kick-off this Saturday in Chino, California. The meeting will be atended by delegates from all over North America. The participants will also join in the Southern California Basque Club's 70th Basque Festival, with several activities, concerts, dinners and an overall celebration of Basque culture. The club has posted all the information on its website.
The Basque Festival will begin on Saturday, with a dinner/dance a raffle. On Sunday the activities include a Basque Mass, a lamb BBQ, a Basque dance exhibitions, rural sports demostrations and more. On Monday, the Basque Festival will end with a celebratory Basque breakfast.
Performers for this great Basque Weekend include the band Gatibu, from Gernika, Bizkaia, one of the most well known and respected rock bands of the Basque country, Basque American group Jean Flesher's band, and dance groups such as Gauden Bat, San Francisco Zazpiak Bat, Xori-Ttipiak, Euskaldun Izarrak, Dantzari Onestak and Chino Klika.
