Villa Maria, Argentina. The bad weather gave in last Sunday morning so that mass and the dancing in the plaza could take place without any problem at the Grotto of the Virgin of Pompeya. Continuing the day’s activities, more than 1000 diners gathered at noon in the Bomarraca Hall to share a farewell meal. The last bit of the festival included the awards for posters in Basque and the organizers said good-bye by presenting delegations a book of poetry. Here is the fifth and final photo chronicle.

[After lunch, local Basque club President Ismael Martinez de Alegria, FEVA’s president Ricardo Basterra and the Secretary General of Foreign Action of the Basque Government, Marian Elorza addressed the public and stressed their positive feedback of the event (photo EuskalKultura.com)]
[During the Semana Vasca, the culture of Euskal Herria and the legacy of our ancestors id celebrated without leaving the local essence aside. On November 10, the Day of Argentinean Tradition was celebrated with guests invited by Maral, members of various club’s took to the stage to do some sambas (photo EuskalKultura.com)]
[On Thursday the 7th, the program included an anthology of Basque poets. The book done by the literary group Paco Urondo, entitled, Embracing that Land-Lurralde hori besarkatuz gathers works of a great number of poets. After lunch on Sunday, to close the festivities, organizers gave a copy of the book to each club present. In the photo, representatives from Basque institutions with the book in hand.
