Macachín, Argentina. Even if it was the birthplace of the Argentinan Euskaraz program, that is now Euskara Munduan, Macachin has offered Basque for a very long time but intermittently. Now, for about six years, Euskera was not taught specifically, but basic language notions were taught along with Basque dance. This week, however, the situation took a turn with a new group of students taking Basque online and in person at the club. The course will follow the Euskaltzaleak’s online class that allows students to learn at their own speed, but combining them with presential sessions at the Euzko Alkartasuna Basque club.
According to the club, “Classes began this week and we have 15 students in all, ranging from 13-75 years old, all beginners. Classes will be taught weekly to being and later they will be adapted to the students’ schedules and needs.”
Enrollment is still open to anyone wishing to join the class (enroll here). Margen Mujica teaches the face-to-face class with the assistance of advanced student, Tomas Vicente.
