Steven Lastiri was born on July 8th, 1960 in Pomona, California to Anastasio Echeverria Lastiri and Marie Carriquiry Lastiri. They moved to the central valley in 1961 and began the family dairy.

Steven attended grade school at Thomas McCarthy Memorial School, and graduated from Hanford Joint Union High School in 1978.

He was a dairyman, truck driver, and welder.

Steve passed away on Sunday, May 14th, 2023. He is survived by his mother Marie Lastiri, his wife Cheryl, sons Shane (Theresa Marie) and Tyler (Emily) and his step-daughter Serena Diaso, as well as many other family members both locally and in the Basque Country.

A memorial mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Hanford, CA. on Friday, June 2nd, at 9:30am. A private burial will be held at a later date.
