12/14/2014 - Elko, NV, USA
[Obituary published by the Elko Daily Free Press]
On December 14, 2014 heaven gained a beautiful soul. Rosemarie Alberro Conner was born at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno, NV on December 23, 1962. She was soon after brought home to Elko, NV by her loving family where she would grow up. She went to school in her hometown of Elko and graduated in 1980.
She continued on to work in many different fields, her favorite being child care. Any child that came across her path automatically became her “kid” and she would be there for them anytime, day or night.
Rose or “Rosie” was also involved in the community through many different organizations including the Elko Euzkaldunak Club, the Jaycees, the Silver State Stampede, CADV, and many parades you experience throughout the year. Being a proud Nevadan and Elkoan, her favorite parade was the Nevada Day, which she began with the help of her husband of 26 years, Jim.
Rose’s faith meant everything to her as she was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Rosie would do anything for her friends, family, or anyone in need. Whether it was a caring word, prayer, or “swift kick” she would get them what was needed.
She is being welcomed home by her father Pete Alberro, grandparents Joaquin & Maria Josefa and Jose & Marie, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will be forever remembered by her husband Jim Conner, daughter Sara Conner, mother Maria Alberro, brother Peter Alberro, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as all the family adopted along the way.
There will be a Rosary Thursday, December 18th at 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday December 19 with internment and luncheon to follow.
