(obituary published in Inland Valley Daily Bulletin-k, Lecacy.com)
A loving Husband, Father, and Grand- father, Bob passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long and wonderful life. While the family has lost a patriarch, we all feel fortunate to have had him in our lives for so many years. Bob cared very much about his family, and he was considered a friend by many people.
Bob is survived by his wife Rosalie of 67 years, son Ken, daughter Yvonne, grandchildren Greg, Katie, Adrienne, and Natalie. He was a devoted husband and Rose was the love of his life. He expressed his love for her through so many caring gestures. He had quite a sense of humor and could often been found in recent years teasing and joking with his grandchildren.
As a long-time truck owner and driver, he took great pride in keeping his truck in sparkling-clean condition and always well-maintained. He was a very hard worker and each day he looked to add that one "extra" truck load.
Of his many interests, he was passionate about the game of golf and he continued to play up to his 89th birthday. He was an excellent athlete in his youth, especially in baseball, and he continued enjoying sports as a lifelong fan. Another favorite activity was his daily ritual of reading the newspaper.
Funeral and burial services for Bob will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday (1/13) at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 S. Fullerton Rd. Rowland Heights, CA 91748.
