Paul Ansberry of Salinas passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020. He was born December 23rd, 1927 in Salinas he was a lifelong resident of the city and a descendant of a pioneering family.
His Grandparents, The Aniotzbehere's came from the Basque region of the Pyrenees and settled in South Monterey County in 1878.
Known for his sarcasm and his humorous outlook on life, Paul was an avid golfer and a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49er's. His main passion in life was oil painting's of the old west in which he enjoyed until the day of his passing.
Paul is survived by his four children. Karen of Goleta, Kirk of Campbell, Kevin of Dublin and Kim of Watsonville. He had six Grandchildren and one Great-Grandchild.
