Óscar Indulfo Luques died at the age of 63, after several days fighting for his life at the Dr. Posadas Hospital in Saladillo, as a result of a respiratory failure caused by Covid-19. The burial will be this Wednesday, October 15 at 9.15 am at the local cemetery. Mourning House, Estrada 2843.

With the death of Óscar Luques, there are already 22 fatalities that the coronavirus has claimed in the Saladillo district since it was reached by the pandemic, reported local newspaper La Mañana.

Óscar Luques was an active and beloved member of the Saladillo Itxaropen Basque Club, that he aproaced through his wife, Paulina Lorda. The Club has spread a farewell and appreciation message through social networks for the heartfelt loss:

"Today we have to say goodbye to someone who accompanied us in our growth, who enjoyed the Peña Fridays, who accompanied each activity and someone who, without being Basque, enjoyed our culture, today a great person is leaving ... Goian bego Oscar Luques, Agur !!! We will miss you !!! "
