Mirtha Haydee Begue ("Mirydee"), 96, passed away in Mar del Plata. She was the only woman to date to have been president of the local Denak Bat Basque Club, from 1998 to 2006, following the legacy of her father Arturo "Chuco" Begue, who directed the Basque institution in Mar del Plata between 1957 and 1961.

"She left us all with a very pleasant memory and lot of gratitude for her dedication and love for the Basque Club. Her physical presence will undoubtedly be missed, but her example of life and management will continue to live on with each one of us," Denak Bat highlight.
