Lucia Esther Echarri, Widow of Iceta, was born in Azul, province of Buenos Aires, daughter of Basque immigrants: her mother from Landibarre-Lantabat, in Lower Navarre, and her father from Urritza, Navarre.

On December 28, 1993, together with her friend Alicia Barberia, she attended the first meeting to form a Basque Club in Azul. She continued to participate in the meetings and on May 11 the first Board of Directors was formed: She singed in the Basque choit, participated in the activities of the Club, in the Basque National Weeks and was part of the Board until 2012.

Lucia died on September 6 at age 93,
