Lola left this life to be with our Lord May 30, 2024, she was born March 6, 1933 to Herman and Juanita (Orradre) Ochotorena in Susanville Ca. where she spent her entire 91 years, she will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

Lola attended Lincoln and Roosevelt Elementary Schools and Graduated from Lassen High School, attended a few classes at Lassen college before moving on to Chico State College.

After College she went to work for the United States Forest Service where she would make it a Lifelong Career, also during those years was a Partner, Secretary and bookkeeper in the Family Ranching Business. She was a member of the Susanville Basque club, member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was always ready and willing to help anyone in need with whatever she could.

Lola met Juanito Mendiolea in 1968 and would become Husband and Wife in 1969, in which she would spend the rest of her Life with. They started a small farm where they raised and sold lambs to friends and local 4-H and FFA members.

Lola was preceded in death by her parents Herman & Juanitaand her brothers Julio, Martin and Joe, sister Marguerite, nephew Andy and niece Susan.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years Juan Mendiolea, her nephew Tim Sr. (Sandy), Tim Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday August 10 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church With a Rosary at 10:30 and Funeral services to follow at 11 :00, with burial to follow at the Lassen Cemetery on Chestnut Street and a luncheon at the Monsignor Moran Hall.
