Jose Maria Mugartegui born in Berriatua, Bizkaia, Euskal Herria. Married Marivi and they had two daughters Jessica and Yolma.
Jose started playing Jai Alai professionally in Madrid, Spain in the 1960s.
From Madrid he went on to play in Zaragoza & Barcelona, Spain, Milan, Italy, Orlando, FL, Tijuana, Mexico, Reno, NE, Bridgeport & Milford, CT.
After retiring from being a jai alai player ,he became a massage therapist at Bridgeport & Milford, CT Jai Alai and lost his battle with cancer in 2007 in Bridgeport
