Jesus Maria Del Rio

Jesus Maria Del Rio

00/00/2002 - connecticut

Parents: Aurora Puertolas and Jose M Del Rio
Siblings: Jose, Aurorin, Ana
Date of Birth: January 6, 1954
Del Rio’s jai alai debut was in Zaragoza, Spain at the age of 16.
He lived there his whole life until he started playing jai-alai in West Palm Beach, FL at the age of 18. He and Mendi were offered U.S. contracts the same year – Del Rio to WPB and Mendi to Miami; that is the time Mendi lived with Kuki and his family while they played in Zaragoza together.
He played all over the U.S. (WPB, Reno NV, Newport RI, Bridgeport and Hartford CT), in South America (Caracas Venezuela), Spain (Zaragoza, Bilbao, Benidorm,) and France.
Little known facts: He loved cooking, his children Ana Del Rio and Jon Del Rio, he also deeply loved Tracy the mother of his children, he loved listening or watching soccer and nature shows. Del Rio sadly is missed so much but is equally loved by his two grandchildren ( Curtis and Cataleya) that were never lucky enough to meet their Yayo. Del Rio was also called Mano and Rocky.
