On February 17, JB Aguerre passed away in Chino, California. He was a person with an extraordinary life trajectory inserted in the Basque community of Southern California and in particular the Chino Basque Club
Born in Donoztiri or St Esteben (Lower Navarre) he emigrated to California where he became a recognized 'milkman', raised thousands of cows in Chino, and responded to the Basque stereotype of a Chino Basque.
Successful entrepreneur, he was very committed to both the local primary sector and to his Basque community and heritage, as a pilar of the Basque club, muslari, singer, and club director, as well as president in many terms.
In 2007, the Chino Basque Club awarded him and his wife Claudia its 'Bizi Emankorra' award for a life's work in favor of the Basque community and the Chino Basque Club.
J.B. Aguerre’s funeral service and memorial will be at Saint Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, 14085 Peyton Dr. Chino Hills, Ca 91709 on Tuesday, March 3rd 2020. Viewing will begin at 9:30am-10:30am, Rosary from 10:30am-11:00am and Mass starting at 11:00am. The burial will be at Bellevue at 1:00pm. Following the church service, a celebration of life, with an social hour and lunch, at the Brinderson Hall, Chino Fairgrounds, at 5410 Edison Ave, Chino, Ca 91710.
