Euskal Artzainak Ameriketan announces the death yesterday May 3 in Pamplona of Inocencio Vergara Goñi, at 90 years of age. He was a sheepherder in 1957/1961 in California (Bakersfield) and in Nevada (Elko),  where he worked for Julian Goicoechea, and learned ho to make bread underground. He shared time in the US with Jesus Marmaun from Erro; and with his on bothers Jose, Paco and Manolo Vergara. Ohore zuri, Basque artzaina!

The funeral for his eternal rest will be next Thursday, May 4, at 5:00 p.m., in the parish of Santiago Apóstol in Luzaide-Valcarlos. The family will receive at the San Alberto Mortuary in Pamplona. A funeral mass will be held in Pamplona on Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Santa María Ermitagaña parish.
