Gracian was born in Banca France - in the Basque Country - on May 29, 1930.
Gracian came to the U.S. in 1947 with his family. Settling in Eureka, Nevada where his parents and 3 sisters operated the Colonnade Hotel. Gracian helped his father herd sheep on the hillsides.
Gracian spent his life as a cowboy and rancher at Willow Creek ranch outside of Eureka , and once he moved his family to Reno in 1960, he worked as a truck driver and rancher.
Gracian loved his large extended family and will be missed greatly by all that knew him.
Gracian is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Grace Sallaberry; his 2 sisters, MaryJean LaBarry and Veronica Stinnett.
He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Carol Sallaberry and his children: Tony Sallaberry (Kris), Yvonne Griffith (Matt), Andy Sallaberry (Rhonda), Richard Sallaberry, Ben Sallaberry (Dianna), Kathy Miles ( Doug), and Brooke May (T.J.).
He also leaves behind his Sister: Albertine Prina, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins both here and in France.
Funeral Service to be held at Mountain View Mortuary on Friday March 3, at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests the Gracian way, Keep your money in your pocket But go out and help someone as Gracian did.
