Husband of the late Margaret (Cavallero). Father of Marian (William) Ysturiz-Dougherty, Margaret (Kenneth) Dorrance, and Kathleen (Joseph, deceased) McClain. Grandfather of Thomas, William and Margaret Ysturiz-Dougherty, Thomas (Sandra) and James (Lydia) Dorrance and Margaret and Kathleen McClain and Great-grandfather of Aspen, Abigail, Rosalee, and James.
Son of the late Regalado and Antonia (Erneriz). Both immigrated from the Basque region in Spain and met in San Francisco. Brother of the late Joseph and Maria.
Born and raised in Butchertown, San Francisco. Attended Burnett and Bay View elementary schools, Portola Junior High and Commerce High School. Graduated from San Francisco State.
Served 2-1/2 years in the Pacific during World War II in the Merchant Marine on the Oliver Wendell Holmes, the Winfield Stratton and the Flying Yankee. His World War II memoirs are stored in the archives of The National Museum of the Pacific War at Fredericksburg, Texas.
Retired employee of the Franchise Tax Board, State of California. Member of the California State Retired Employees Association, Young Men's Institute, Chinese American Bridge Club, and De Paul Seniors of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
A celebration of Felix's life will be held at a later date.
