I am saddened to share the news of the loss of another great person from our community, Austin Netelbeek. His grandparents, Tony and Ariella (Moretti) Barrutia were founders and huge supporters of the Basque Club of Utah and his great grandparents owned boarding houses in various places in Utah where Basque miners would stay. His parents, Peter and Diane Netelbeek, and aunt Dana Barrutia, continue to this day to support our club by working at our various events. Austin dedicated his life to helping others, we lost him way too early. Our deepest condolences to his parents Peter and Diane, his partner, his brother, his aunts and uncles and all his family and friends, may he rest in peace.
