Funeral services for Anita Iriberry, 75 year long time Wright and former Buffalo resident who was killed in a car accident Wednesday afternoon near Edgerton, Wyoming will be held Tuesday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel with Father Pete Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held in Wright, Wyoming at a time to be announced. A private family interment will take place later. Donations in Anita’s memory may be made to the Johnson or Campbell County Fair Board in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Anita Elizabeth Iriberry was born on January 31, 1946 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Arnaud and Alvina Curutchet. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1964. After high school she worked at Gatchell Drug Store and later for the Stafford family. She was married on October 25, 1973 in Buffalo to Etienne Iriberry and they made their home in Kaycee and Linch where she worked at various jobs. In October of 1995 they moved to Wright, Wyoming where she cooked for Hank’s Café. In 2005 took a job with Securitas as coalmine security. Etienne was tragically killed in a tornado in Wright in 2005 and Anita continued living in Wright until her death.
She was a member of the Big Horn Basque Club, Thunder Basin Cowbells and was an FFA and 4-H leader. Anita was a lifelong rancher and loved spending time with her animals but her passion was spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Etienne Iriberry and his wife Jessica of Edgerton, Wyoming and Mitchell Iriberry and his wife Sara of Wright, Wyoming; one daughter Marsha Iriberry also of Wright; one brother James Curutchet of Buffalo; three sisters Alberta Escoz and her husband Jean, Betty Rodriguez and her husband Tony of Buffalo and Kathy Hepp of Clearmont; and ten grandchildren, Jacklynn, Mitchell, Christopher, Zilar, Kiristin, Finley, Laci, Jazmin, Colleen and Etienne III. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
