Andoni Garritz Ruiz, 66, has died in Mexico City. A person of great prestige and a career in chemistry, its research and teaching in Mexico UNAM university, he revolutionized the way of stuying chemistry in Mexico. Thousand of students went throught his classes and can witness his important work, effort and dedication and the love for his profession he transmitted.
Son of Basque parents arrived after the Spanish Civil War, his father Jesus / Josu Garritz Martínez (Pamplona, 1911) and his mother Alicia Ruiz Roteta (Bilbao, 1914) met and married in Mexico and had three children, Amaya, Josu and Andoni, the youngest. His father was gudari, journalist for daily Euzkadi, arrested and convicted in a Spanish Francoist martial court, exchanged and exiled came to Mexico, where he and his family highlighted for their work, contribution and projection within the Basque community and the Basque club .
Chemical engineer, professor and doctor in Physical Sciences, Andoni Garritz is known for its long national and international curriculum.
