Congratulations to Amaya Ormaza-Winer, who just gave birth for the second time around and welcome to little Sofia, a new Elkoan of Basque Heritage.

Sofia Grace Winer was born on the 5 of January 2009 in Elko Nevada (USA) at 10:13 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs (3,6 kilos) and measured 20 inches (50,8 centimeters). Both mother and daughter are doing well and are already at home. Big sister, Katharine Isabel, is 2 1/2 years old and is ready for her new responsibility and with time will be a best friend and playmate to her little sister.

Congratulations Amaya (her father, Pete Ormaza, a true Basque, died three years ago on the 15th of January 2006, smiling down upon his new granddaughter) and her husband, James Winer and in general all of the Winer-Ormaza Families.
